Pure Pleasure

Hello twinkies!

Ah!
Saturday night. It's about 3 a.m and I am not sleepy.
The day was very lovely today, sunny, kind of warm.. Just nice!
(I love rain but not the very dark foggie days)
So I spend part of it sitting on my balcony having tea and reading

And because of that, I decided to come and add another different entry on my blog.
I'm going to talk about tea today.
Just my favourites (I love tea, so as you can imagine I have an endless list)
As some of you know (and if you didn't it's time to find out) I'm a true tea addict.
I love tea.
Have always loved it since I was a child.

TOP FAVOURITE TEAS

Leaves of the bush called Camellia sinensis is popular by the name ‘tea’ enjoyed the world over as the most relished beverage. Besides rejuvenating drained out energy levels, tea is a natural source of caffeine, amino acid Theanine having micro-level psychoactive properties to the extent of reducing stress. It has a significant role to play in increasing brain dopamine, serotonin and gamma-amino butyric acid (weird huh?). Theanine also promotes the generation of alpha waves in the brain indicating its role in boosting alert. It also has a significant role in uplifting the immunity indicated by the presence of greater anti-bacterial proteins in the systems of tea-drinkers.
Tea also contains theobromine, an ingredient found in chocolate which has an active role in serving as vasodilator, diuretic and a significant heart stimulant besides the catechins, the polyphenolic antioxides loaded with anti-cancer and anti-tumor forming properties. Furthermore tea has a role in reducing weight for it contains no fat, carbohydrates or proteins. It can rather be placed some what in the category of vitamins or a medicinal herb, considering its role in the general well being of an individual. Tea contains flavonoids that inhabit formation of plaque on teeth besides guarding from various cancers of the gastrointestinal types. It also tones up cardiovascular health, has role in lowering cholesterol and probable protection against Alzheimer disease.
Some of the benefits derived from drinking tea are reducing cholesterol, preventing tooth decay, strengthening the immune system, helping to prevent heart disease and stroke and reduce the risk of cancer.

(interesting don't you think?)

Green tea
Women who drink greeb tea may have a reduced risk of developing breast cancer!
The benefits of green tea in a human body are so remarkable that it is believed that the key to a longer and healthier life may just be brewing in your cup!
Green tea acts as an antiviral agent. It contains fluoride, a mineral that helps prevents cavities and strengthens tooth enamel. A cup a day can help reduce plaque formation and bacterial infections in the mouth. It acts as an anti-inflammatory, maintains a healthy, active metabolism and circulatory system just to name a few. This proves that this drink is indeed a miracle in a cup!

Red tea
Nowadys many people are trying Rooibos or Red Tea for the first time. This delicious tea deserves our attention, because of its wonderful flavor and many health benefits.
Because Rooibos is not a true tea, but a herb, it contains no caffeine and is low in tannin. It brings you numerous health benefits including: Acting on the nervous system to ease irritability, headaches, nervous tension and insomnia; Relieves stomach cramps and colic in infants; Used to treat hay fever, asthma and eczema (haven't been needing my inhalor for 5 days); Slows the aging process of skin when applied directly; Improves the immune system function.

White tea
White tea is increasing in popularity all over the world.
This type of tea is full of catechins, usually found in fresh tea leaves, which has been found to help in DNA repair. It has less caffeine than other types of tea, with more cancer-fighting antioxidants. A study has noted that white tea can help fight off viruses and dangerous infection-causing bacteria.
Today, white tea is a connoisseur's choice, enjoyed for its gentle aroma and delicate flavor.

Chamomile tea
Chamomile tea enjoys a reputation as being very good for the body.
One of the first things to understand about chamomile itself is that it contains significant amounts of calcium and magnesium.
When it comes to helping with your overall health, the benefits of drinking tea made with chamomile extend far beyond the well-deserved reputation as a sleep aid. You can even use the steaming process used to make the tea as a way to help with congestion and bronchitis. Along with the health benefits, the bottom line is that chamomile tea has a light taste that many people find to be very soothing, especially after a rough day, me included!

I'm finally done!
I hope you find this information useful. I've restricted my research about teas online and leaning on my personal experience with them.

Tomorrow I will be posting a weekly update on my limited calorie diet, with my meals plan for last week and some recipes (nothing too complicated) and I will of course ramble a little as I normally do.

Thoughts:
Adding a list of food's calories
An article motivating people who want to loose weight
A real list of recipes (once I love cooking)

Enjoy!
Stay healthy and beautiful!
